MGL Partners Expands Service Offerings Under Industry Veteran

Leah Jones

MGL Partners (MGL), a Denver-based multifamily developer of market-rate, affordable and senior housing communities, recently expanded into owner’s representation with the hire of industry veteran Leah Jones. Jones will focus her efforts on MGL’s affordable and market-rate housing projects as well as provide owner’s rep services for external clients, regardless of MGL’s involvement in a development capacity.

“Expert management of the construction process has always been important, particularly for affordable housing projects, but given the double-digit escalation of construction materials and labor costs over the last two years, we saw great benefit in proactively adding an experienced in-house owner’s rep to our team,” said Greg Glade, co-founder of MGL Partners. “Leah has the necessary expertise to shepherd projects literally from the ground up, coordinating a low-cost, efficient prototype for much-needed affordable housing units here in Colorado. We recognized the immediate value she could add to our own projects as well as the suite of consultative services we offer at MGL.”

Jones brings 16 years of experience within the construction industry, with expertise in multiple areas including efficient site design, building design, materials, systems, and long-term strategy for owners and residents. As part of MGL’s consulting arm, Jones’ new owner’s rep services are flexible and can be used for the entirety of a project or through specific milestones.

Prior to joining MGL, Jones worked for nationally recognized construction companies like PWI Construction and Swinerton. She is also well-versed in multiple market sectors, including federal procurement, municipal essentials facilities, horizontal infrastructure, luxury retail, adaptive reuse, and school district bond projects. Most recently, Jones was concentrating on the affordable housing market for Taylor Kohrs and helped develop more than 1,000 new and renovated affordable housing units.
