Brinkman Construction Promotes Kate Baker to Chief Marketing & Business Development Officer

Brinkman Construction has promoted Kate Baker to chief marketing & business development officer.

Baker previously served as the company’s director of marketing for more than a decade; directing and developing innovative marketing strategies. She has been an integral member of the leadership team, striving to build authentic brand differentiation that creates strong strategic and lasting partnerships.

With more than 15 years in the marketing industry, Baker has an impressive background in advertising, corporate communications, branding, and integrated marketing for companies including a large national commercial real estate firm and an independently-owned advertising agency as well as in media relations within the higher education sector.

In her new role, she will be responsible for connecting the company’s short and long-term vision objectives with marketing and business development initiatives. Baker also oversees the creation and execution of target market pursuit strategies, client relationship management programs, and brand visibility and engagement.

“Kate has been instrumental in the growth and development of Brinkman Construction over the past 10 years and this new role will allow her to further impact the strategic direction of the company. Baker holds a master’s degree in Advertising Management from the University of Denver and a bachelor’s degree in Communication from Colorado State University.  She is a member of the Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, a past recipient of BizWest’s 40 Under Forty, a Leadership Northern Colorado graduate and a previous Young Professional of the Year Finalist.

 

Farnsworth Group’s Eric Cluver Designated President of IFMA

Eric Cluver, AIA, LEED, AP was appointed as president of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) Rocky Mountain Chapter.

Currently, Eric Cluver is the architecture principal of Farnsworth Group, and has been with the company since 2000. In this role, Cluver leads the Fort Collins Architecture Studio, and serves as a client manager providing leadership in all facets of architectural practice including business development, programming, design, space planning, construction documents, construction management, and project management.

As IFMA President, Cluver will lead the Board and Committee Chairs in serving the diverse Northern Colorado membership on matters of local importance and interest related to facilities, including educational, informational, and networking opportunities. Cluver will serve one year and support the Association’s mission of working together to “share knowledge through networking and educational programs.” The Rocky Mountain Chapter of IFMA was established in 1989 and serves Facility Managers throughout Northern Colorado and Southern Wyoming.

“This chapter has a diverse group of facility-related professionals who enjoy learning about all aspects of a building and sharing knowledge through networking and educational programs. It is my pleasure to help facilitate additional growth opportunities in support of IFMA’s mission in Northern Colorado,” said Cluver.

Within IFMA, he previously served on the board as vice president from 2019 to 2021.

 

i2 Construction Welcomes Two Experienced Superintendents to Team

Construction professionals with more than 60 years of combined experience recently joined the i2 Construction team. Lloyd Smith and Mike Kost were hired as project superintendents for i2, bringing with them a wide range of experience working on a number of different projects in the Denver market.

“We are very excited to welcome Mike and Lloyd to the i2 Family,” i2 President Scott Farrell said. “Mike and Lloyd’s depth of experience will help provide a new level of support and opportunity for our clients!”

Kost joins i2 Construction with more than 25 years of commercial construction experience. He has an exceptionally strong performance history, bringing projects to completion with client confidence and at the highest level of quality. As Project Superintendent, Kost will be in charge of all field operations, including directing i2’s field forces, supervising subcontractors, maintaining schedules, chairing weekly coordination meetings, and expediting materials.

A recent project highlight for Kost was his work as superintendent on the 910 Telecom project in Denver. This project included reinforcing a 100-year-old historic building to be able to support the transition from office and retail uses into data center use.

Smith brings 37 years of construction experience to i2, with expertise in municipal, education, industrial, aviation, and commercial projects. In the past three years alone, Smith has served as the senior superintendent on a number of education and aviation projects along the Front Range. In his most recent position, he was responsible for overseeing the planning, directing, and coordinating field activities on construction projects on multiple sites.

Smith was Senior Superintendent on work at Denver International Airport, including central plant improvements, Concourse A gate updates and office reconfigurations for two airlines.
