ELEMENTS Enhances Technology and Furniture Teams with Strategic Hires

ELEMENTS, an integrated interiors partner focused on human-centered design and place-making, has expanded its business development team with the hire of Tyler Marr and Chappell Redd. With these new hires, ELEMENTS has now added 30 percent to its workforce in the last year to support a 25 percent increase in business year over year.

“The holistic approach we bring to the interior built environment continues to be a key differentiator for ELEMENTS,” said Traci Lounsbury, president and co-founder of ELEMENTS. “Adding Tyler and Chappell’s expertise to our technology and furniture business development teams further strengthens our ability to meet the increased demand in the market for integrated interior solutions.”

With nearly four years of business development experience in the commercial furniture industry and a background in technology solutions, Marr brings a deep understanding of the importance of intuitive technology in the workplace. As part of ELEMENTS’ growing Technology team, he will guide clients through the process of assessing their technology needs and finding the best solutions for their people.

As ELEMENTS’ newest member of the Furniture team, Redd will use his commercial real estate experience to help clients translate the empty space into an inspiring place for organizations, their customers and employees.  Prior to joining the team, Redd worked as an analyst for JLL, where he provided analysis, market surveys and created quality solutions for clients.

JLL Hires Seniors Housing expert to its Valuation Advisory Practice

JLL has hired Shawn James O’Connor as an executive vice president in the Valuation Advisory business. O’Connor will focus on seniors housing valuation in the Rocky Mountain region, as well as general valuation services in the Denver area.

“Shawn’s two decades of experience evaluating seniors housing and healthcare properties will be a tremendous asset to our growing Seniors Housing & Healthcare practice,” said Michael Welch, JLL’s U.S. Head of Valuation Advisory. “Shawn’s hire, as well as the addition of senior valuation experts Zach Bowyer, Bennett Johnson and Bryan Lockard earlier this summer, demonstrates JLL’s commitment to providing world class valuation and advisory services to our clients throughout the country. O’Connor rejoins JLL, where he previously served in senior positions appraising complex seniors housing portfolios from 1999-2017.

In addition to his valuation duties, O’Connor will sit on JLL Valuation Advisory’s Technology Committee, where he will help drive technology and data strategies into the valuation process.

The Brown Palace Hotel and Spa, a legend among downtown Denver hotels since 1892, proudly welcomes Rodney Herwerth as Executive Chef of the iconic landmark and the adjacent Holiday Inn Express Denver Downtown, part of The Brown Palace hotel complex. In this role, Herwerth will utilize his wealth of knowledge, creativity and enthusiasm to oversee all culinary direction and operation for the hotel, banquets and daily dining within its six renowned restaurants and lounges.

The Brown Palace complex welcomes Herwerth from his position as executive chef at Hilton Denver Inverness where he spent 10 years overseeing the food production for the property’s six dining outlets and 60,000-square-feet of meeting space. Chef Herwerth’s impressive resume also touts time spent as executive chef and director of culinary at Tempe Mission Palms Hotel and Conference Center in Tempe, Ariz., as well as an almost 10-year stint in Antigua where he was Executive Chef at notable properties including Hodges Bay Club and Resort, Gallery Bay Hotel and The French Quarter Restaurant. The seasoned culinary connoisseur’s expertise also includes, recognition as the opening chef for Hotel Schlossberg in Berg, Germany where he introduced American cuisine to the hotel’s renowned restaurant menu. Throughout his established career, Chef Herwerth has proven his ability to create extraordinary dishes with an international flare, manage kitchen and staff, and exceed guest expectations.

The 22-story Holiday Inn Express completes The Brown Palace hotel complex offering an additional 1,287 square feet of contemporary meeting space on-site and a pedestrian sky bridge, allowing convenient access to The Brown Palace.
