D Bergin Joins CBRE in Denver as a Managing Director Serving the Colorado Region
CBRE announced this week that D Bergin has been promoted to managing director with Advisory & Transaction Services. A 15-year commercial real estate industry veteran, Bergin will oversee office occupier and industrial services for CBRE’s five Colorado offices in downtown Denver, the Denver Tech Center, Boulder, Fort Collins and Colorado Springs. A native Coloradan, Bergin transferred from CBRE’s Seattle office, where he was director of sales management for CBRE’s Northwest region, spanning Seattle, Bellevue, Tacoma and Portland.
“D is a recognized leader, mentor and role model who has had a major impact on the Northwest commercial real estate community. He excels at increasing value for clients by connecting professionals, technology tools and other resources to help companies execute their real estate strategies. We are fortunate that he has relocated and will build on his career at CBRE in Colorado,” said Pete Schippits, senior managing director of CBRE’s Mountain States.
While based in the Northwest, Bergin oversaw all reporting aspects related to managed brokerage and business planning, as well as providing a full-time management presence in CBRE’s Bellevue office. He worked closely with brokers across all service lines on strategic business development as well as training on CBRE’s platform and industry-leading technology. He played an integral role in establishing the Seattle market as a beta test site for new CBRE initiatives and technology and also assisted with the roll-out of key CBRE programs nationally. Mr. Bergin also served as a leader within CBRE’s national Sales Management organization.
“I am excited to be returning to Colorado. The growth along the Front Range of industries like technology reminds me of the growth that I have seen in Seattle over the last 15 years. My focus will be on leveraging this experience and my knowledge of CBRE’s resources to bring value to our clients,” said Bergin.
Prior to joining CBRE, Bergin worked with Cushman & Wakefield, where he served as director of operations for the firm’s Washington offices.
Bergin received his Master of Business Administration degree from Colorado State University. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Northern Colorado.
