Sarajane Goodfellow Joins CBRE’s Denver Office

CBRE announced that Sarajane “SJ” Goodfellow has joined its Denver office as a first vice president. Ms. Goodfellow is partnering with Chris Phenicie and Allison Berry to focus on office landlord representation in downtown Denver.

Ms. Goodfellow joins CBRE from Unico Properties where she served as director and market leader for Unico’s Colorado and Austin, Tex., portfolios, comprising nearly 4.2 million sq. ft. In this role, Ms. Goodfellow oversaw leasing efforts focused primarily on urban core office properties. She worked directly with capital partners to execute asset strategies and expand Unico’s portfolio in two of the nation’s fastest-growing markets.

“Sarajane is a seasoned professional with coveted perspective, having worked on the ownership side and in brokerage. Her ability to collaborate and bring mutually beneficial solutions to the table will position our clients for long-term success,” said Katie Kruger, Colorado market leader, CBRE.

Prior to her role with Unico, Ms. Goodfellow was vice president of the agency leasing team at JLL in Denver where she represented an estimated 3.5-million-sq.-ft. portfolio of office properties across metro Denver, predominantly in downtown Denver.

Ms. Goodfellow is an active member of the Downtown Denver Partnership, Junior League of Denver and DMCAR, where she sits on the board.

 

The Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa Hires Alejandro Cerda to serve as Director of Food & Beverage

The Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa Avon, Vail Valley has welcomed Alejandro Cerda as the new director of Food & Beverage at the award-winning Colorado resort.

With more than 18 years of hospitality experience, Cerda spent the last 5+ years with Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, serving as the General Manager of Food & Beverage for both Kimpton Hotel Monaco in Pittsburgh and Kimpton Muse Hotel in New York City. Other previous experience includes restaurant management positions at the Hyatt Regency Jersey City in New Jersey, at the Andaz 5th Avenue – a concept by Hyatt in New York and for Grupo Habita hotels in Mexico City.

An avid skier & hiker, Cerda is thrilled to be returning to the Vail Valley – he previously spent a ski season as a restaurant supervisor at the 8100 Mountainside Bar & Grill at the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort and Spa.

A native of Mexico who is fluent in both English & Spanish, Cerda is a graduate of the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City. He also studied business at Northeastern University in Boston.

Cator, Ruma Announces Promotions

Cator, Ruma & Associates announced the promotion of Michael Green, PE; Craig Perry, PE; Philip Terry, PE; and Ryan Lee, PE to Associate. Michael, Craig, and Philip will all contribute to the leadership of the electrical department, while Ryan will provide guidance and management of the mechanical department.

Michael has 14 years of experience across a multitude of institutional project types, including K-12 facilities, higher education facilities, healthcare facilities, manufacturing, laboratories, and municipal projects. He has experience designing a variety of building systems, including controls, lighting, emergency and standby generator systems, primary and secondary power distribution, and UPS systems.

Craig is an electrical engineer with 25+ years of diverse project experience designing healthcare, institutional, and commercial facilities. He has extensive experience in developing high-quality, creative solutions for expansion and remodel projects. He is well-organized and detail-oriented. He has a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from Kansas State University and is currently licensed in seventeen states, including Wyoming and Colorado.

Ryan Lee

Ryan joined Cator, Ruma in 2017 and has twelve years of experience in mechanical design. He has extensive experience in roles ranging from research to design and project management. He has designed HVAC and utility systems for complex facilities, including laboratory, higher education, and manufacturing projects. In addition, he has experience with clean rooms through class 10,000 and ISO 7 classification and cGMP manufacturing facilities.

Philip joined Cator, Ruma & Associates in 2015. Since then, he has completed projects across many industries, with solid experience in higher education. Philip has 9 years of experience designing multiple types of electrical systems for higher education, K-12 schools, research laboratories, and the aerospace industry. Philip is an excellent team player, and his ability to integrate the goals of the project into his work is a valuable asset to any project team.

excels at creating inspiring and lasting places for people to call home. His visioning skills, in combination with his ability to forge collaborative and lasting partnerships with municipalities, create confidence and ease around the planning and entitlement process with KEPHART’s clients.

Steve Martinez

Over the course of his 20-year career in residential design, Steve has developed a passion for high-density projects, along with the ability to identify potential design challenges and to seamlessly navigate through them. Steve is always looking for innovative ways to design and build more efficiently and effectively, creating memorable spaces for people to call home.

Adam and Steve will join eight existing Principals at KEPHART.
