Michael P. Bannon

Cresent Hires New Vice President

Crescent Real Estate LLC (Crescent) has hired Michael P. “Mike” Bannon as vice president for the Fort Worth and Denver-based real estate operating company and investment advisor. Bannon, whose experience ranges from operating assets to development, will initially be responsible for Crescent’s Colorado Springs operations including a recently purchased office portfolio. He will operate out of Crescent’s Denver office.

Since 2006, Bannon has worked for national and global commercial real estate and investment companies, most recently as Development Director for Alberta Development Partners, LLC in Greenwood Village, Colorado. He managed master planning, conceptual design, and permitting for a large 3 million-square-foot, mixed-use project and actively pursued and evaluated additional development projects.

Prior to joining Alberta, Bannon contributed to underwriting and due diligence of new developmentprojects for The HYM Investment Group in Boston. While at HYM, Bannon worked on Boston Landing, a 15-acre, two million-square-foot urban, mixed-use development of office, multifamily, hotel, retail and various sports uses. Additionally, prior to joining HYM, Bannon worked in asset management at AEW Capital Management where he managed approximately 4.5 million square feet of primarily office and retail properties.

“Mike has significant experience managing the design, financing and development of large urban mixed-use developments that complement the community,” said Conrad Suszynski, co-CEO of Crescent. “Mike will play a key role at Crescent as we acquire and develop projects that co-exist with the community, such as Crescent’s Platte Fifteen, an environmentally sensitive and architecturally innovative campus development embracing Denver’s Confluence Park and views of the South Platte River.”

Bannon graduated with an MBA and a concentration in real estate finance from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University. He received a Bachelor of Science in Management and Business from Skidmore College.

Kelsey Hussey

 

Small Giants expands with Digital Marketing Assistant

Small Giants, LLC., a MarCom and OUTSIDE magazine award-winning creative marketing agency in Denver and Phoenix, has hired Kelsey Hussey as digital marketing assistant in the Denver office to serve commercial real estate, architecture, construction and engineering clients. As digital marketing assistant, Hussey will develop interactive materials, such as websites, Eblasts and social media for clients.

“Kelsey’s background in marketing and her understanding of our clients need to add value to their online brand was a perfect fit for our growing team,” said Danielle Feroleto, founder and president of Small Giants. Before Small Giants, Hussey was employed in Colorado State University’s College of Health and Human Sciences where she managed their social presence, created department videos and designed graphics. She also researched and wrote articles covering student and staff features, scholarships, and research and current events within the college.

Hussey has a B.A. in Journalism and Media Communication from Colorado State University.

 

Kevin Holst

Kevin Holst Joins Southern Land Company as Senior Vice President and General Counsel

Southern Land Company, a national real estate developer of award-winning mixed-use developments and master planned communities, today announces the addition of Kevin Holst as Senior Vice President and General Counsel.

In this role, Holst will head the company’s in-house legal department and will be responsible for supporting Southern Land’s considerable development activity across its national footprint, which currently includes planned and under-construction multifamily and single-family projects in Tennessee, Colorado, Pennsylvania, New York, South Carolina, Texas, Florida and Nevada.

Holst will be relocating to Southern Land’s Nashville headquarters for the role. He joins from McWHINNEY, a Colorado-based real estate development firm, where he served as vice president and & associate general counsel. While there his responsibilities included legal matters related to multi-family development, commercial leasing, vertical commercial construction, industrial acquisition, and a 1,100-acre master planned community.

Phil Pearson

Swinerton Hires Senior Superintendent

Phil Pearson has rejoined Swinerton as a senior superintendent. He brings more than 20 years of experience in the commercial construction market, with a focus on tenant improvements and interior renovations for office, critical facilities and technology-driven spaces.

Phil holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science, has Safety Trained Supervisor certification, and is a LEED Accredited Professional.
