Trailbreak Partners Announces Two New Hires

Lauren Irwin, CPA has joined Trailbreak Partners — a private equity firm focused on real estate and middle market operating companies — as controller, where she oversees all accounting and reporting functions for the organization. She has over 17 years of accounting experience in real estate accounting, and her specialties include financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and internal controls. Before joining Trailbreak Partners, Lauren held controller positions at NexCore Group, Zeppelin Development, and the Howard Hughes Corporation, where she was responsible for the accounting of a multi-phase $500+ million redevelopment project in the Lower Manhattan area. Lauren also has a background in public accounting with a focus on residential and mixed-use real estate. Ms. Irwin holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with concentrations in Finance and Accounting from San Francisco State University.

Charlie Speer has joined Trailbreak Partners as an analyst. In this role Charlie is responsible for financial analysis, due diligence, development support and market research. Charlie brings with him extensive development underwriting and modeling experience. Prior to joining Trailbreak, Charlie was an associate at StreetLevel Investments, a retail developer based in Dallas, Texas. At StreetLevel, Charlie modeled both shopping center acquisitions and ground up development projects in conjunction with development and construction management. Prior to his time at StreetLevel, Charlie was an analyst at Highland Development, a Boston-based multi-family developer and construction manager. Charlie graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2014 with a Business Administration degree in Finance.

 

White Construction Group Adds Key Pieces in Continued Growth

White Construction Group has added several key professionals across the Colorado Front Range.

Dennis Karna, sr. project superintendent, has joined the company after more than 34 years in the commercial construction industry. Karna specializes in a variety of project types, but especially large institutional projects. Over the course of his career, he has led noteworthy builds across the state of Colorado, including extensive work at Denver International Airport, Fort Carson, the Denver Art Museum, and the University of Colorado – Anschutz Campus. Karna will lead day-to-day field operations at the company’s Argo Mill Redevelopment in Idaho Springs.

Daniel Krus, project safety coordinator, was hired to bolster the company’s already robust safety program. Krus brings a strong record of safety performance, having spent more than 12 years in the construction industry, managing both operations and health and safety programs. In his capacity as project safety coordinator, Krus will oversee organizational health and safety practices, track and communicate safety metrics to on-site managers, and provide instruction to improve processes on the jobsite. He is currently assigned to the Xcel Vaults Re-Life project at Denver International Airport.

John Meyers

John Meyers was hired as senior operations superintendent. With nearly four decades in the commercial construction industry, Meyers brings tremendous experience and insight to the company’s self-performance capabilities. He is tasked with leading White’s self-performance and equipment group, in addition to supporting business development across the region and providing additional oversight on an individual project basis.

Chris Haugen, president of White Construction Group, praised these additions, saying in part, “Dennis, Daniel and John bring incredible skillsets to our growing team. We feel very fortunate that we were able to bring them on board.”

 

 

Atlas Real Estate Adds Two New Hires

Atlas Real Estate recently expanded its team with two new additions.

Audrey Gilmore joins the Atlas brokerage team as a transaction coordinator. She has a bachelor’s degree in criminology and a background in social work. Audrey previously worked as an advocate supervisor with Child Advocates – Denver CASA.

ErikHanley has joined the brokerage team at Atlas as an inside sales agent. He is passionate about educating people on the value of homeownership and brings years of experience in recruiting to the role.
