Data Center Industry Veteran Joins CBRE in Denver
CBRE announced this week that Greg Vernon has joined its Denver office as a senior vice president with CBRE’s Data Center Solutions practice. Mr. Vernon will specialize in helping data center owners, occupiers and service providers across North America identify and execute hybrid real estate and cloud storage strategies
that align their goals with their IT requirements.
“Greg brings strong experience on both the enterprise and service provider sides, giving him invaluable perspective for CBRE evaluating their data center and hybrid IT decisions. His deep understanding of the industry and diverse data center expertise make him a great addition to the team,” said Pat Lynch, senior managing director, Data Center Solutions, CBRE.
Mr. Vernon is a 17-year data center and cloud-industry veteran with experience representing both buyers, investors and service providers in the site selection and negotiation of cloud and data center solutions. He has arranged more than $1 billion of data center transactions over his career, working with some of the largest cloud service and data center providers in the world; Fortune 500 manufacturing, healthcare, and media companies; and many leading technology organizations.
“The data center landscape has changed dramatically in recent years. Site selection is no longer a decision isolated in real estate. As cloud options become more prevalent, data center strategy requires a well-rounded understanding of a company’s IT requirements and how they fit into the organization’s overall business goals. CBRE recognizes that enterprises are embracing hybrid infrastructure to maximize performance and flexibility, and CBRE partners with clients to execute thoughtful, hybrid strategies,” said Mr. Vernon.
