PCL Construction Welcomes Jeremy Tolmen as Denver’s Virtual Construction Manager

PCL Construction photo -- Tolmen_Jeremyis pleased to announce that Jeremy Tolmen has joined PCL’s team in Denver as virtual construction manager, and will be responsible for expanding the scope and depth of Denver’s virtual design and construction services.

“I’m very excited about joining the PCL team here in Denver and look forward to leading a talented virtual construction department,” said Jeremy. “Our goal is to expand and perfect the way we leverage and implement BIM technologies to enable our teams to build better, safer, and faster.”

Most recently, Jeremy was the BIM manager at another construction firm in Denver, where he oversaw BIM services, training and contract reviews for the Colorado, Texas and government divisions. Jeremy began his construction career in the field as a superintendent in the residential market before transitioning to the commercial side as a project engineer, where he began developing his BIM skills. His knowledge and understanding of the built environment is crucial in leveraging and applying the value of BIM technologies to construction projects. Jeremy spent six years as the owner and manager of San Diego BIM Services, providing 3D modeling and consulting services to developers, general contractors, subcontractors, and design firms in the commercial construction industry.

Jeremy is a US Navy veteran who earned a National Defense Medal before leaving the service in 2004.

PCL is currently working on projects throughout the Denver and Rocky Mountain area, including the Monarch Hotel and Casino Expansion in Black Hawk, the South East Light Rail ExpansionParking Garage for RTD, Aspen Club Living, Grand Colorado Peak 8, and the refurbishment of Boulder Civic Area Park.

NavPoint Real Estate Group Adds Commercial Analyst and Underwriter

Collin TedescoCollin Tedesco began working for NavPoint Real Estate Group in 2016 as a Commercial Real Estate Intern. Upon completion of college in 2017, he began his current position as a Commercial Analyst and Underwriter. Collin looks forward to working with and representing commercial investment clients.

A Castle Rock native, Collin attended Douglas County High School before receiving a golf scholarship to Hastings College in Nebraska. Collin earned degrees in Business Administration and Economics and held the Student Association Treasurer position in Student Government for two years. In his free time, Collin enjoys playing golf, attending concerts, and enjoying time with family and friends.

GH Phipps Construction Companies Names Chris Bantner as COO

GH Phipps COO Chris Bantner,Chris Bantner has joined GH Phipps as its chief operating officer, bringing with him more than 25 years of construction leadership development and executive-level construction experience.

With deep roots in the Rocky Mountain regional market, Bantner was selected after an in-depth search to become a key member of Phipps’ executive team and help establish strategy for the company and ensure its execution. He will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations for the company, including all areas of mainline construction operations, special projects, concrete, and the company’s construction equipment resources.

Of GH Phipps, which was founded in 1952, Bantner said, “GH Phipps is a Front Range contractor, and I’ve been impressed with the reputation Phipps has had in the market. People always have something good to say about how they build their projects and how they treat their people. They’ve shown good, healthy competition, and have built a great reputation in this market.” GH Phipps President Kurt Klanderud said, “We are so pleased to have Chris join GH Phipps and incorporate his experience in order to enhance GH Phipps’ plans for growth. He brings skills that complement Phipps’ culture in the way we have historically worked with our clients and industry partners.”

Bantner earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Engineering Technology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice, with a minor in Political Science, from the University of Nebraska at Omaha/Lincoln. He grew up in Nebraska — and in the construction business. His family owned a flatwork concrete company, and Bantner worked there as a concrete finisher throughout high school and college.

He comes to GH Phipps after a long and successful career with the Kiewit Corporation. He moved up through the project management side and participated in Kiewit’s Leadership Development Program for most of his career. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President and Managing Partner for the VA Hospital Denver, after holding the position of General Manager of the Building Group office in Denver. Other important projects he oversaw include the South Terminal Enabling Construction Project at DIA, the Union Station Redevelopment Project, the Toyota Elephant Passage Exhibit at the Denver Zoo, and numerous higher education and commercial projects, including parking structures and light rail stations for the massive T-REX project that remade I-25.

Bantner is married, has two children, and lives in Arvada.
