Justin Kliewer Joins CBRE as a Vice President with Retail Services in Denver
CBRE announced today that Justin Kliewer has rejoined its Denver office as a vice president with retail services. Most recently a managing director with the retail division of Newmark Knight Frank in Denver, Mr. Kliewer will specialize in representing retail tenants, landlords and property owners across the metro area.
With more than 17 years of experience in the industry, Mr. Kliewer has worked on some of Denver’s most-notable retail projects, including more than 50 transactions along the 16th Street Mall. He has also helped source retailers to anchor major ground-up developments, such as Hampden Town Center, Highlands Garden Village, The Landmark and Lincoln Commons. Over the course of his career, Mr. Kliewer has completed more than 750 retail transactions with a total consideration in excess of $500 million.
“Where it can sometimes take 30-plus years to reach the upper echelon of the industry, it’s incredible to see what Justin has achieved in his career to date,” said Pete Schippits, senior managing director and market leader for CBRE in Colorado. “His past projects have been not only exciting but impactful—helping to enliven some of Denver’s most-treasured retail corridors and pioneer future retail hubs.”
In addition to his work in the Denver metro area, Mr. Kliewer also serves as a multi-market advisor, specializing in site selection and deal negotiation for regional and national tenants. He began his career with Trammell Crow Company in Denver, first joining CBRE when it acquired Trammell Crow in 2006.
“Coming full circle back to CBRE is a great feeling, especially in light of the national and global retail platform CBRE has established,” said Mr. Kliewer. “CBRE’s investment in technology was particularly significant in my decision as it directly translates into the ability to provide clients with an exceptional level of service.”
Mr. Kliewer received a Bachelor of General Studies degree from the University of Kansas. He will work alongside Jon Weisiger and Jim Lee, based out of CBRE’s office in the Denver Tech
Center.
