HREC Announces Shane Skubis Joins Team as SVP in the Denver Office
HREC Investment Advisors, the nation’s leading lodging and gaming real estate advisory firm, has announced the expansion of its brokerage platform with the retention of lodging real estate veteran Shane Skubis as a senior vice president based in the Denver office.
Over the past 25 years, Shane has delivered hospitality deals to clients in 49 states representing 21 different brands. He is an active hospitality investment advisor and hotel site developer for clients and associates. Shane has either sold, developed, franchised, and or financed or found the land for approximately 260 hotels across the USA.

Prior to Shane’s affiliation with HREC, he served as a senior director of the National Hospitality Group at Marcus and Millichap, and concurrently as a principal and development partner with First Principle Hotel Group. Previously, he worked with IHG, JLL, US Franchise Systems, The Wilder Group, and Wyndham.
Shane is passionate about the hotel business and excels in unlocking hidden value in operating hotels and finding adaptive use buildings to become hotel sites and hotels in high barrier to entry markets. Shane attended Missouri State on a Football Scholarship and lettered in both football and wrestling at the Division 1 level. His favorite hobby is Rugby, a sport he has mastered over the past 30 years.
