MTech Mechanical held its first annual Samborski Memorial Clay Shoot in October at Kiowa Creek Sporting Clays. $5000 was raised completely through internal donations and matched by MTech to donate $10,000 directly to the Suicide Prevention Coalition of Colorado (SPCC).
“Due to current pandemic, our team had to adapt and only allow internal participation,” said Marco Capitelli, MTech President. “Despite the limitations, our team truly stepped up to support an incredible organization and pay tribute to two of our great team members. Our mission to raise awareness of mental health and suicide will continue through this event for years to come.”
Over 90 people were able to participate in the event that included breakfast, lunch and raffle prizes. Top three teams and high shooter awards were given out.
The Suicide Prevention Coalition of Colorado was formed in 1999, when concerned citizens set out to create a statewide agency with the purpose of preventing suicide and creating a resource network for those who were working to prevent suicide around the state.
“Suicide prevention is everyone’s business and SPCC is encouraged that MTech is addressing mental health and suicide prevention in the workplace as a company pillar. The generosity we received from the MTech community and company is above and beyond what our non-profit ever imagined,” Maranda Miller, SPCC Collaboration Committee chair.
