DENVER – The Kmart store located at West Alameda Ave., and South Cherokee St. in Denver, that closed down this month, is set to be replaced with a multifamily apartment complex comprised of 350 rental units. The development is part of a general development plan that aims to create a denser, more transit- and pedestrian-oriented neighborhood. Construction will likely begin at the end of the year.
