Multifamily Development Company Moving HQ to the Denver Tech Center

In February 2023, The Garrett Companies, a full-service multifamily development, construction, and management team, will relocate its headquarters in Lone Tree to one of Denver’s most distinctive and visible Class A buildings in the Denver Tech Center. Garrett Companies will occupy the entire 8th floor, for a total of 22,000 square feet, at 5075 S. Syracuse St.

The Denver Metro market has been an ideal market for apartment development for The Garrett Companies for several years based on its proprietary matrix to assess markets, including supply, demand, and quality of life indices. A high concentration of active projects, coupled with easy travel access to other emerging markets (Phoenix, Minneapolis, etc) made Denver the clear choice for a second headquarters.

The Garrett Companies has been in business since 2014 with a headquarters in Greenwood, Indiana. Enhancing the employee experience was the primary factor in choosing the Tech Center. Relocating further north from the current Lone Tree regional office location will reduce commute times for many employees, making the office more of an asset in its hybrid work environment.

“We’ve closed on four new residential developments since December, three of which are in Colorado. This brings us to a total of 21 projects under construction, 14 of which are in Colorado. With each deal we execute, we employ construction project managers, residential leasing teams, and support staff. The Tech Center was the ideal central location to provide collaboration opportunities for these teams for the in-office component of their hybrid work environment,” said Aaron Kitch, acquisitions manager for The Garrett Companies.

Located at the intersection of I-25 & Belleview Avenue, 5075 S. Syracuse St. has attached parking and state of the art building security. Proximity to the RTD Rail System, onsite wellness amenities, and 360-degree 8th floor views were some of the top amenities that attracted The Garrett Companies to this location. The acclaimed Shanahan’s restaurant is on-site and the property boasts beautiful outdoor areas with the back-drop of well-manicured boulevards, greenways and high-end amenities the Denver Tech Center offers.

Planned modifications to the space include enclosing some cubicles to private workspaces and creating more collaborative areas for break times and employee engagement activities.
