Björn’s Colorado Honey has opened a new Boulder storefront along the city’s iconic Pearl Street, bringing the beloved Colorado brand’s artisanal honey and specialty products together with coffee and ice cream under one roof. Designed by Denver-based architecture and design firm Neoera, in collaboration with Björn’s, the new store transforms a prominent corner space within the historic Buckingham Block into a welcoming retail and café destination rooted in the character of both Björn’s and Boulder.
Located along one of Boulder’s most active pedestrian corridors, the store marks an evolution of Björn’s physical retail experience. Known for its Colorado honey and natural products, the brand sought to create a space that could serve simultaneously as a shop, café, and gathering place while introducing customers to Björn’s products in a more immersive setting.
Neoera approached the design by translating the tactile, organic qualities associated with honey and Björn’s Colorado roots into a warm, approachable environment that encourages discovery and lingering.
The store is organized around two complementary experiences. One side is dedicated to Björn’s signature retail offering, with shelves displaying honey varietals sourced from across Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region alongside the brand’s growing collection of specialty goods. The other introduces a café and ice cream program, expanding the ways customers can experience the brand beyond traditional retail.
The Boulder location is Björn’s second coffee concept, following its airport location, while the addition of ice cream introduces a new offering for the brand. Together, the programs create a natural progression through the space, moving visitors between browsing and tasting, ordering and gathering.
“Björn’s has such a strong connection to Colorado, and we wanted the physical space to feel just as authentic and approachable as the brand itself,” said Emily Adams, founder of Neoera. “The goal was to create a space where the products remain at the center of the experience, while giving people more reasons to come in, spend time and connect with the brand.”
The project also responds directly to its Pearl Street setting. Surrounded by long-standing Boulder businesses, restaurants and cultural destinations, the new store is designed to function as more than a traditional retail outlet. By combining shopping with coffee, ice cream and opportunities to gather, Björn’s establishes a new neighborhood destination that can engage both local residents and visitors throughout the day.
The Boulder store reflects Björn’s continued evolution while remaining grounded in the qualities that have defined the Colorado brand: a connection to place, thoughtfully made products and an approachable experience centered on honey.
