New Efforts to Confront Construction Labor Shortage

City of Denver’s staff and council members are looking at new ways to tackle the shortage of construction workers. With billions in new Denver infrastructure projects planned, the city is conducting a series of roundtable discussions with construction industry representatives in hopes of finding a solution to the problem.

An annual study that was released today by the Associated General Contractors of America indicates that 85 percent of companies said they’re having a hard time filling hourly craft positions and 46 percent said they think hiring challenges will persist over the next year.
