Boulder, CO – The Embassy Suites by Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn Boulder — two modern new hotels conveniently located in the heart of Boulder — are now open.
The Hiltons on Canyon feature two five-story buildings, offer a combined 376 guest rooms, many with stunning mountain views, as well as 8,435 total square feet of meeting and event space, a state-of-the-art and sunlit fitness centers, shared courtyards and a rooftop heated saline-based pool.
The pet-friendly hotels are proximate to the University of Colorado Campus and close to the Pearl Street Mall and 29th Street Shopping District, as well as Boulder’s numerous local trails for biking and hiking.
Located at the corner of 28th Street & Canyon Blvd., the project is being developed by Denver-based Sage Hospitality, one of the nation’s top hotel investment and management companies, and NAI Shames Makovsky, who has been shaping the metro Denver commercial real estate landscape for more than 45 years by offering brokerage, development, property management and lending services.

The dual-branded project was designed by Johnson Nathan Strohe, a Denver-based architecture and interior design firm. At a total of 310,000 square feet, it is the largest hospitality project in the firm’s history. While both hotels are under the Hilton brand, each has its own unique look and feel that required a strategic blending of design elements that result in a distinctly ‘Boulder’ character.
The Embassy Suites Boulder offers 204 all-suite guest rooms, each with a living room and a dedicated work space, refrigerator and pull-out couch, along with a separate bedroom. The hotel is home to Brickstones Kitchen & Bar, which serves lunch and dinner daily. The Brickstones menu features wood fired flatbreads and a variety of Colorado microbrews and spirits. The hotel also serves complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast daily and an Evening Reception with snacks, wine & beer.
The Hilton Garden Inn Boulder features 172 spacious guest rooms, including five Junior Suites, all with a refrigerator, safe and Keurig coffee maker. The hotel is home to The Garden Grille, which showcases healthy and nutritious food during the week for dinner along with a decadent take on brunch, anchored by a unique take on fried chicken and waffles.
The Embassy Suites Boulder features the largest private ballroom in Boulder – the Pearl Street Ballroom at 6,510 square feet, which is able to accommodate groups of up to 650 people. Both properties feature multiple conference rooms with breakout options and ample pre-function space and outdoor event spaces, along with in-house catering and on-site AV support.
Opening rates start at $139 per night for the Hilton Garden Inn and at $149 per night for the Embassy Suites by Hilton.
Denver’s NINE dot ARTS curated the extensive art collection at both hotels around a central theme of the natural world, focusing on works from Colorado-based artists, especially those with ties to the University of Colorado Boulder. The hotels feature more than 1,500 pieces by Colorado artists.
The Embassy Suites features softer, more organic art pieces by CU Boulder faculty members like Foundations Professor Michael Beitz, Visiting Lecturer in Printmaking Matt Christie and CU Boulder alums like Lindsay Pichaske. NINE dot ARTS partnered with CU Boulder’s Art Department to create an open call for entry to all current students. Selected students Allie Sutterer, Herbert Bonney-Angermayer and Johnny DeFeo have their work featured in the guestrooms and public areas of the hotel.
The Hilton Garden Inn’s art collection is more playful, bold and geometric, with pieces by former professor Betty Woodman and current faculty like Albert Chong. NINE dot ARTS also developed an innovative, 18-month long art mentorship program called Beyond the Studio in the partnership with CU Boulder. Mentor Lisa Solberg, an internationally renowned artist and CU Boulder alum, worked with current CU MFA in Painting candidate Johnny DeFeo to develop and install screen printed murals in each of the hotel’s 172 guestrooms.

Both hotels are participating in the Hilton Honors® loyalty program, which is open to all guests and free to join. The hotels offer valet & underground self-parking.
