Construction is set to begin on a Primrose private pre-school at Sterling Ranch, a 21st century master-planned community in Douglas County. The school is scheduled to open in Sterling Ranch in late 2021. The architect is Galloway and the general contractor is AD Miller Construction Services.

“We’re very excited to welcome Primrose to Sterling Ranch and provide the young families who live here with a school for their children to attend in their own neighborhood,” said Brock Smethills, president of Sterling Ranch Development Company. “More and more families are deciding to call Sterling Ranch home and the addition of Primrose will make our community all the more desirable to everyone. This is an outstanding school with a stellar reputation that is another great amenity for our residents.”

“Our family is excited to begin this journey with Sterling Ranch,” said Mandy Fawcett, who will own and operate the school along with her husband Mike. We look forward to serving the community of Sterling Ranch as their early education childcare provider and will collaborate with teachers and staff and most importantly partnering with the parents for the same goals in
mind: the children, their safety and to establish their love for learning as they continue to grow. We know the positive impact a Primrose School can make on the community, families, employees and the children.”

The private preschool will be owned and operated by Mandy and Mike Fawcett, both of whom have a long relationship with Primrose, and whose daughters both attended Primrose for their early childhood education. Additionally, the Fawcetts are pioneer residents of Sterling Ranch, and have a vested and passionate commitment to serving the community.

Sterling Ranch attributes much of its success to the desire of people to leave an urban environment and take advantage of the space and serenity of a suburban lifestyle. In addition to the quiet surroundings, Sterling Ranch is working with partners such as Siemens to provide dependable internet capabilities to its residents. Gigabit fiber to the home, industry leading split ratios, and loads of dark fiber combine to make the network in Sterling Ranch a cut above. With speeds over ten times faster than the national average, Sterling Ranch residents have the bandwidth they need for everyone in the house to work, study, or relax from home without issues.

When not working from home or enjoying a hike, Sterling Ranch residents are able to enjoy the recently completed Overlook Clubhouse and Pool, a 6,000-square-foot recreation center complete with a full-size pool and pool deck. The Overlook provides residents of the amenity-rich community with yet another place to relax and enjoy the quiet ambiance of this special lifestyle-focused part of Colorado.
