A new wine bar concept Velvet Cellar has signed a lease for a 4,077-square-foot retail space for $570,780, at 1500 Wynkoop in Denver, the former home of restaurant Chow Morso Osteria, which closed in November 2020.

Jamie Mitchell, Darrin Revious and Paul Nora of Pinnacle Real Estate Advisors represented the landlord, Shadow Saddle, LLC in the transaction. Eric Shaw represented the tenant, Velvet Cellar.

“The tenant was attracted to the space because of its proximity to Ball Arena, Coors Field, and Union Station as well as being on a highly visible intersection of 15th Street and Wynkoop Street; a perfect location for a wine/cocktail bar,” said Eric Shaw, the broker representing the tenant.

“Happy to get this space leased up for our landlord to a great wine bar tenant! This will add another top-notch dining experience to the Union Station Corridor!” said Paul Nora, the broker representing the landlord.

According to the Denver Post, the wine bar will offer 200 wine labels to start, and eight to 10 small plates that will change monthly. The owners are also planning a $500,000 renovation before they open the space fall, 2023.
