According to the Denver Post, the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) has high hopes to make the National Western Center a zero net energy district.
Earlier this year, the city’s North Denver Cornerstone Collaborative and Colorado State University created a large road map for the project, outlining the recommendation for the use of solar power as well as geothermal heat and wind turbines.
