OZ Architecture Completes Design Development of The Reserve at Lone Tree in RidgeGate

OZ Architecture has completed the design of The Reserve at Lone Tree, the first luxury senior housing community in the rapidly growing RidgeGate master-planned community in Lone Tree. In partnership with Experience Senior Living Development (ESLD), a NexCore company, The Reserve at Lone Tree will offer 124 independent living units in a nine-story building alongside 60 assisted living and 24 memory care units in an attached five-story building. The project will break ground in Q4 2022, with anticipated completion in 2024.

This community will be Experience Senior Living’s first project under its signature brand, The Reserve, which is designed to allow residents, families and team members to experience luxury living together.

“The combination of design, location and amenities at The Reserve at Lone Tree is truly something special,” said ESLD SVP of Real Estate Development, Hunter MacLeod. “We appreciate OZ’s partnership in helping us achieve our vision for the first community within our Reserve Collection. These communities are focused on transformative design that enables residents to maintain a sense of connection and adventure with the local neighborhood, all while enjoying unique amenities combined with luxury hospitality-inspired services. We look forward to bringing this community to life in the coming year.”

Designed for comfort, the spacious independent living units offer up to 1,930 square feet for residents to enjoy, featuring gracious entertaining spaces with high-end materials and finishes. Many of the apartment homes also include a balcony overlooking a lush central courtyard with a built-in amphitheater where residents can enjoy year-round summer programming. Assisted living apartment homes will range between 430 and 1,100 square feet, with kitchenettes that foster independence and in-unit washers and dryers. Some Assisted Living units will also feature balconies with views of the courtyard and Schweiger Ranch to the south.

“The Reserve at Lone Tree represents a significant departure from the traditional senior housing community design,” said Jami Mohlenkamp, principal at OZ Architecture and head of the firm’s Senior Living practice. “The look and feel are strongly informed by our research into design for health and well-being, as well as OZ’s work designing some of the most exciting resort and multifamily communities around the world. From the flow of the homes themselves to the numerous dining and social venues, every element has been carefully crafted to help residents live life to the fullest.”

To support residents’ mental and physical well-being, the property will feature a greenhouse, an indoor saltwater swimming pool, intergenerational room, spa with steam room, sauna, massage area, sports and pickleball courts, and a fitness center. A dedicated maker space will offer residents the opportunity to pursue a variety of creative interests, and an adjoining gallery will provide space to showcase the residents’ work. A mix of on-site dining options will offer variety and support fresh, seasonal dining. The community will also have a coffee shop, an on-site salon, a dog run, and a rooftop ‘sky lounge’ bar and restaurant.

The Reserve at Lone Tree will be the first luxury property dedicated to aging adults in Lone Tree’s RidgeGate master-planned development, which spans 3,500 acres southeast of Denver. Located steps from the RidgeGate Parkway RTD station, The Reserve at Lone Tree offers strong multimodal connectivity to the region, and easy access to more than 1,000 acres of parks, trails, and natural open space, further supporting an active lifestyle for residents.
