Denver Broncos All-Pro cornerback Patrick Surtain II officially unveiled the Patrick Surtain II Foundation’s fourth Inspiration Room (S.T.E.A.M. Room) during a ribbon-cutting celebration on Tuesday, September 8, at Columbia Middle School in Aurora.
Made possible through the generous support of Wings Credit Union and the Campos Foundation, the newly renovated classroom represents a $50,000 investment in the future of Columbia Middle School students.
Originally awarded during the Patrick Surtain II Foundation’s Game Plan Pitch Day in September 2025, Columbia Middle School was selected to receive the Foundation’s fourth Inspiration Room after presenting its vision for expanding opportunities in Graphic Design and Digital Art.
Through the grant, the classroom has been transformed into a vibrant, collaborative learning environment featuring:
- Fresh custom interior paint and inspirational wall graphics
- New classroom furniture designed for collaboration and creativity
- 25 Professional-grade cameras and camera equipment
- New classroom supplies and creative resources
- An upgraded learning environment tailored to the school’s Graphic Design & Digital Art curriculum
The renovated space will serve students in grades 6–8, providing them with hands-on opportunities to develop creative, technical, and digital media skills that prepare them for future academic and career pathways.
“Education has always been one of the biggest priorities of my Foundation,” said Patrick Surtain II, founder of the Patrick Surtain II Foundation. “Every student deserves an environment that inspires them to dream bigger and explore their potential. We’re excited to partner with Columbia Middle School, Wings Credit Union, and Campos Foundation to provide a space where creativity and confidence can grow.“
The Inspiration Room initiative is part of the Patrick Surtain II Foundation’s mission to level the playing field for students by investing in innovative educational spaces and providing resources that empower young people to pursue their passions. Each Inspiration Room is designed in collaboration with educators to meet the unique needs of the school’s students and curriculum.
