While many companies have yet to return full-time to the office or are moving away from downtown, Piper Sandler’s Colorado public finance group has moved its Denver headquarters into the Class A high-rise office tower at 1144 Fifteenth Street. The company’s 39 Denver-based employees now occupy more than 12,000 square feet on the 20th floor of the building, which was developed by Hines and opened in 2018.
“We are thrilled to be in our new space in downtown Denver,” said Zach Bishop, managing director of the Piper Sandler Special District Group. “This location is central to our client base, our team members, and has great access to restaurants – not to mention spectacular views of the Rocky Mountains from our conference room.”
Piper Sandler began building out the space with RAND Design in February of this year. The space is bright and open, taking advantage of the views to the west. Collaborative spaces are integrated with 43 individual offices and the blue color palette including occasional pops of its orange accent color reflects the Piper Sandler brand. Rick Sutton at Nelson Design worked with the firm on furniture, accents and décor to bring the space to life. With nearly all employees now back in the office full-time post-COVID, the intention of the design and décor was to facilitate renewed collaboration.
“We are very much focused on building and growing a dynamic team, which is difficult to do remotely in our industry,” said Bishop. “We are thrilled to be back together in our new office and contributing to the energy that is being restored in downtown Denver.”
