DENVER –The project team at the site of the Peña Station Hyatt Place, is continuing the underground over excavation and recompaction for the foundation concrete. Alliance Construction Solutions have just begun pouring the foundation walls as they complete the remainder of the spread footings. Alliance is pouring both stair cores simultaneous to the foundations going in and are up to level four. The team is pouring a stair core lift every four days. They will begin elevator and column concrete this week.
In addition to Alliance, gkkworks is the architect, and McWhinney is the developer for the project.
The underground MEP coordination has begun and the team will begin the underground within the next few weeks. They have milestones set to top out our stair cores by August 6th and to have slabs on grade poured by Labor Day.
Peña Station Hyatt Place consists of the construction of a new seven story hotel. The building will be approximately 145,000 square feet and will feature 226 keys. The first level will be a concrete podium, with six stories of Infinity structural metal studs above. Included within the hotel are a full service bar and large conference rooms.
The project will pursue LEED status, and is expected to be completed in November 2019. The hotel will be managed by Denver’s Sage Hospitality, an industry-leading hotel and restaurant management company, real estate investor and hospitality brand developer.
Peña Station NEXT is a transit-oriented, mixed-use development adjacent to Denver International Airport and easily accessible by the University of Colorado A Line Train. The 382-acre, $500 million project is slated to offer 1.5 million square feet of commercial space, 500,000 square feet for retail outlets and 2,500 residences.
