Red Robin Recommits to Denver for its Headquarters Location

DENVERRed Robin International, Inc. has renewed its lease at Tuscany Plaza, located at 6312 South Fiddler’s Green Circle in Greenwood Village. The signing of the 65,000-square-foot office lease renewal signals Red Robin’s commitment to the Denver area, the casual dining restaurant chain’s choice for its headquarters location since 2000.

Newmark Knight Frank’s (NKF) Jim McGrath and Tom Pappas provided exclusive tenant representation services for Red Robin, in the lease renewal transaction.

“After studying Red Robin’s culture we evaluated several buildings that would enable Red Robin to enhance its workplace and team member's productivity,” commented NKF Executive Managing Director Jim McGrath. “In the final analysis, Tuscany Plaza presented the optimal combination of location, workplace design and overall cost. This decision became clear under the building’s new ownership of Crescent Real Estate LLC and their commitment to retain Red Robin as the anchor tenant in the building.”

“We evaluated numerous alternatives with the assistance of NKF and Jim McGrath – who assisted us with our original lease at Tuscany Plaza in 2000 – and we are thrilled to recommit to Denver and Tuscany Plaza for our company headquarters,” stated Abby Gilbertson, Red Robin’s director of corporate and franchise development. “Many complicating factors were taken into consideration, including whether to combine Red Robin’s test kitchen with our corporate headquarters, but in the end, we determined it warranted a separate location.”

Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews is famous for its menu of more than two dozen craveable, high-quality burgers with Bottomless Steak Fries ® and welcoming guests of all ages in a fun environment. The company, with more than 570 restaurants across the United States and Canada, including Red Robin Express ® locations and those operating under franchise agreements, plans to remodel its Tuscany Plaza headquarters starting late 2018. The updated design will include new work spaces, focus rooms, huddle rooms and modernizing furniture and equipment to meet the needs of the approximately 300 Red Robin team members located at the corporate headquarters.

“Denver offers the ideal location to maintain our focus on the future of the casual dining industry, our goal of continuing to outpace the industry and fostering a positive and innovative work environment for our employees, reflective of our company culture,” added Gilbertson.
