Renovation of Snow Bowl in Steamboat Springs Complete

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS – The Snow Bowl a popular and iconic source of entertainment in Steamboat Springs for residents of the Yampa Valley, has completed a major renovation, and celebrated its Grand Opening on Thursday, March 7.

Owners Meryl and Joel Meranski, siblings who grew up in Steamboat Springs, personally invested in the renovation of the facility and have helped turn it into a modern-day bowling and entertainment center, complete with a restaurant and bar featuring locally sourced food and drinks.

“Our friends and family have been coming to the Snow Bowl for decades, as it has been the ‘place-to-be’ for locals and visitors who wanted a place to go when it was too cold to ski, or simply grab a snack and bowl a few frames,” said Joel. “The west side of Steamboat is growing at a rapid pace, and the renovation of the Snow Bowl provides people with another great source of entertainment, with great food, drinks, games and fun.”

The Snow Bowl facility is located at 2090 Snow Bowl Plaza, and includes 10,000 square feet of space. General Contractor Rick Erickson of Western Building Services completed the renovation.

The Meranski’s also plan to build an additional outdoor entertainment area.  The more than an acre of land housing the Snow Bowl provides significant outdoor space that will also include a container bar, sand volleyball court, a bocce ball court and other outdoor games.
