BOULDER — Los Angles-based tech company, Honey, one of the top tech companies revolutionizing the digital retail landscape, recently signed a 2,500-square-foot office lease in downtown Boulder.

The company is slated to move-in to the new space, located at 1881 9th Street, in mid-September, as part of their plan to expand their Boulder presence — a market the company sees as a prime spot for the country’s most premier talent.

“Boulder has thriving tech community that attracts top talent across a range of functions from software developers to back end engineers to help Honey build and innovate our products offerings,” said Glen Allison, COO of Honey.

Honey was founded in 2012 by George Ruan and Ryan Hudson. Hudson was ordering pizza for his family and was frustrated with the time-consuming legwork of the “coupon code hunt.” Rather than experiment with codes across various coupon sites that likely won’t work, he began assembling a prototype for a browser extension that will automatically apply coupon codes at checkout. Ryan decided to partner with George and used the protoype to build and launch Honey.

The tech company is expected to hire approximately 15 people in the new Boulder space.
