Larimer Square will soon be home to the most anticipated wellness club opening of the year. Sway, the full-service, revolutionary new spa concept created to redefine the spa experience for younger generations, will open its flagship location in Denver’s iconic Larimer Square. Set to open this November, the concept will offer the best in facial bars, massage, and remedy technology with a membership model focused on affordability to meet health and wellness needs tailored to Millennials, Gen Z, and Alpha X in big cities.
Brian Velarde of MPB Contractors was the general contractor for the project and the architect was Kestrel Design Group. Emily Langenderfer, the director of Sway, and Allison Langenderfer, president and co-founder of Spavia, designed most interior details.
Located at 1428 Larimer St., Sway’s aesthetic embodies the spirit of personalization inherent in its treatments. The thoughtfully curated, one-of-a-kind design echoes the individuality of each guest, featuring hand-picked pieces that evoke the dynamic energy of the word ‘Sway.’ The light and fresh space fosters an environment that’s both inspiring and relaxing. Live greenery, reinforcing the brand’s color, and the purposeful use of movement in design create an experience that guests will love and remember.
“We’ve identified an unmet need in big cities for health and wellness services tailored to Millennials, Gen Z, and Alpha X,” says Emily Langenderfer, director of Sway. “We believe that wellness should be accessible, innovative, and reflective of a modern lifestyle and our mission is to provide a holistic wellness club where self-care is embraced in its most authentic form. Sway is the first of its kind, bringing together the best in facial bars, massage, and remedy technology with a membership model focused on affordability. Sway will epitomize luxury without the high price tag to cater to the needs of the most health-conscious generations to date. With its sleek, timeless design, Sway will become your go-to happy place for rejuvenation amid the bustling city life.”
For those seeking massage services, Sway offers a variety including deep tissue, CBD, salt stone, and sports massages. Specialized facials include the ‘Forever Young’ for anti-aging, the ‘Pore Perfection’ for acne-prone skin, the ‘Glow Getter’ for hydration, and the ‘Sensitive Silk’ to reduce redness. Guests have the option to elevate their facial or massage experience with “boosts” or “super boosts,” such as Microcurrent, Hydraderm, Infrared PEMF mat, cupping and lymphatic drainage, or by extending their relaxation time to 80 minutes.
Trending treatments, such as Normatec Lymphatic Compression by Hyperice, Cold Plunge, Sauna, and LED Light Therapy by LightStim, will also be available in Sway’s Remedy Room, a dedicated space to enhance overall physical well-being and prioritize recovery.
