RiNo’s First & Only Hotel Celebrates Topping Out

Source Hotel

DENVER – Approximately 200 people gathered this past Friday, August 4th to celebrate the topping out of Denver’s Source Hotel Project.  Located in the River North Art District (RiNo), the Source Hotel will be the neighborhood’s only hotel, and will complement the existing Source Marketplace.

The event is a common one in the industry, serving not only to commemorate the on-going success of the project, but to show appreciation for the hard work of the entire project team.  Unique to this event, however, was Bill Espiricueta, executive sous chef and owner of SMOK, who provided BBQ for the event and whose restaurant will become part of the hotel.

Topping out 3The 8-story, 100-key boutique hotel is being developed by Zeppelin Development and designed by GKK Works and Dynia Architects.  Alliance Construction Solutions is the general contractor for the project.  The hotel will be located within five minutes of Coors Field, 16th Street Mall, Denver Coliseum and the National Western Stock Show.  The Source will offer incredible views of both the Front Range and the Denver Skyline.  Amenities will include three restaurants (one on the 8 th floor), a banquet space, a New Belgium Brewery, a fitness room, pool and spa, four boutique shops and a courtyard with a tranquil rain garden.

As many guests noted during site tours at the event, the hotel has seen significant progress in recent months.  Roofing for the project will be complete in the next month.  Production drywall has started on levels 3 and 4.  The exterior metal panels are currently being installed, and all metal framing is complete through level 7.  The tower crane will be coming down by the end of August 2017.  The project is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2018.
