This week, Fodor’s Travel announced its annual Fodor’s Finest Hotel Awards and Denver’s very own The Ramble Hotel is named among the best hotels in the world – one of only 15 U.S. hotels on the list and the only hotel in Colorado.
The annual Fodor’s Finest list details the most incredible, travel-worthy hotels in the world. Handpicked by Fodor’s editors, this prestigious recognition draws input from 750 hotel experts from across the globe.
The first hotel in the artistic and creative hub of Denver’s RiNo neighborhood, The Ramble Hotel is a locally owned and operated 50-room boutique property that houses the marquee lobby bar Death & Co Denver, the first outpost from the famed bar’s inaugural location in New York’s East Village.
JNS, a Denver-based architecture and interior design firm specializing in hospitality, urban housing and mixed-use projects, designed the boutique hotel.
Inspired by Madame Rambouillet’s French Salons of the 17th century, the hotel was designed to foster conversation. Soft, luxurious fabrics and textures are mixed with industrial and eclectic elements alongside a curated art collection, reflecting a timeless, relaxed elegance while engaging with the creativity of RiNo, the neighborhood “Where Art Is Made” in Denver.
The hotel’s lobby and bar are intentionally interchangeable, bestowing guests with a convivial and energetic atmosphere coupled with a serene escape found in each residentially inspired guestroom, complete with wide plank hickory floors, vintage eastern-European rugs and Death & Co-curated mini bars.
Three Death & Co concepts define the public spaces of The Ramble Hotel, including DC/AM, a barista-led café bar; The Garden, a seasonal courtyard bar featuring sessionable cocktails and frozen drinks; and Suite 6A, an intimate mezzanine bar that hosts renowned pop-ups throughout the year. The hotel is also home to Vauxhall, a venue for movie screenings, live performances and celebrations as well as Super Mega Bien, a restaurant featuring pan-Latin cuisine offering small plates served tableside from a roving dim sum-style cart.
