Franklin Street Properties, the owner of 1001 17th Street has kept pace with the Denver office market by providing amenities that give tenants opportunities for collaboration, relaxation and team building. The centerpiece of the amenities program is the rooftop deck which is nearing completion. The 6,000-square-foot outdoor space, designed by McPherson Architecture, will feature outdoor meeting spaces, fire pit, ping pong, billiards and a Bocce ball court.
“Franklin Street Properties asked us to design an outdoor environment which capitalizes on the building’s location in downtown Denver, and the great weather we enjoy in Colorado,” said Mark McPherson, design team leader. “We enjoy helping building owners find potential in their buildings by designing improvements which are sound business investments.”
Shade structures and architectural planters have been completed and construction crews are busy installing pavers, stucco and landscape materials. The deck will be furnished and ready for tenant use in early August.1001 17th Street is a 655,000-square-foot, LEED GOLD building that features two interconnected 19 and 28-story Class “A” office towers. The development won the Denver Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) Outstanding Building of the Year award in 2013.
