San Fransisco tech firm Slack Technologies will open a new Denver office this year but it remains unclear whether or not the office will serve as the companies second headquarters.
“We are excited to open a new office in Denver later this year and to join such a vibrant and innovative community. We look forward to sharing more in the months ahead,” said a Slack spokesperson.
The Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade recently submitted a proposal to the San Francisco-based company, offering up to $10.6 million in Job Growth Incentive Tax Credits over an eight-year period.
If the proposal is successful, Denver could stand to gain 550 full-time jobs with an average salary of $107,975.
Slack is also considering Phoenix, Austin and Portland for its second headquarters, according to Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade Global Business Development Manager Dan Lane.
