Southeast Colorado Hospital District Addition and Renovation Breaks Ground

GH Phipps and the Southeast Colorado Hospital District recently celebrated the groundbreaking of a new hospital addition and renovation work. The $13.9 million project will include 4,842 square feet of newly added space and the renovation of 16,280
square feet of existing space. The architect for the project is RTA Architects.

Construction will be multi-phased to allow for uninterrupted patient care. Phase one includes the rehabilitation, imagining suite and administrative area renovations, the beginning of patient room renovations, and the emergency department addition and renovation. Phase Two will continue renovating the patient rooms and the support staff area.

Southeast Colorado Hospital District is a not-for-profit Critical Access Hospital located in Springfield. It has served the rural community of Baca County since 1969 with comprehensive health care services to its isolated service area in eastern Colorado.
