Haselden Builders hosted a Framing and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) luncheon on July 23, alongside project owner and developer Prospect Properties, to mark a major construction milestone at the new Sun Valley Townhomes project. The event marks the structural framing completion and the successful rough-in of essential mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems—a critical transition in bringing modern, family-focused urban residences to Denver’s Sun Valley neighborhood.
Owned and developed by Prospect Properties, the Sun Valley Townhomes project will deliver 78 multi-bedroom townhomes to a rapidly transforming district near Empower Field at Mile High and the South Platte River corridor. Designed to answer Denver’s strong demand for family-friendly, larger-format urban homes, each townhome features multi-story layouts, private entrances, and direct connection to local transit and regional trail networks.
“Reaching the framing and MEP stage is always a rewarding moment on a job site because it’s where a design transitions from paper into a living structure,” said David Krier, project superintendent at Haselden Builders. “Working alongside Prospect Properties on this project has been a great partnership. Their vision for high-quality, transit-oriented housing in Sun Valley is coming to life, and our team is proud to build a strong, energy-efficient foundation for these future homes.”
Beyond structural progress, the development incorporates high-efficiency mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems engineered for long-term sustainability, tenant comfort, and low operational overhead. Residents will also benefit from a prime location, steps from regional light rail, active river trails, and new neighborhood amenities, including the 11-acre Sun Valley Riverfront Park.
This milestone event offered project partners and site teams a first look inside the framed structures and exposed mechanical infrastructure, highlighting the craftsmanship and planning driving the neighborhood’s continued evolution.
