The Beck Group Expands Healthcare Design Practice in Denver

DENVERThe Beck Group, the integrated architecture and construction firm, is expanding its healthcare planning and architecture practice in Denver.

“Our first priority was to expand our team. We hired architect and healthcare industry veteran Mark Johnson as regional director of Healthcare to enhance our architectural practice and to increase our presence in Denver’s strong healthcare market,” says Doug Spuler, managing principal of architecture at The Beck Group.

Along the Colorado Front Range, hospitals and healthcare facilities – both new builds and expansions – increased at a more rapid pace than other major markets in the U.S. As a result of the strong market, there is a need for expertise in quality planning, programming, and implementation services for healthcare systems.

“Beck’s commitment to delivering high-quality planning and design within its collaborative culture allows our team to develop creative solutions that add budget, user value and drive innovation in an industry where it is necessary for the success of the final building product and the vitality of the end user,” says Johnson.

The Denver-based team includes Erik Austin, senior Healthcare manager, who along with Johnson, works and coordinates closely with new and existing team members to deliver quality healthcare design services. The group boasts deep experience in programming, planning, design, facility assessment, technical documentation, healthcare and life safety codes, and construction administration.

Beck has called the Mile High City home for more than 30 years. The firm’s Colorado-based projects include the redevelopment of Foothills Mall in Fort Collins, the Landmark in Greenwood Village, Denver First Church and the Royal Gorge Bridge and Park.
