The Cañon movie theater has signed an 18,000-square-foot lease at The Shops at Four Mile Creek, in Cañon City, Colo.
Patrick Kerscher and Dan Rodriguez of CBRE and Preston Troutman and John Marietta of Fremont Realty LLC are the leasing agents for the center. Westside Investment Partners is the landlord.
“An investment in a theater in Cañon City speaks to the vitality of the market,” said CBRE’s Kerscher. “Shops at Four Mile Creek continues to attract top tier tenants and establish itself as the premier retail destination in the area.”
The Cañon, a four-auditorium theater operated by Cinema Lab, occupies the former 4 Mile Cinema movie theater space at 127 Justice Center Road. The theater offers traditional concessions, grab-and-go food, hot food items, adult beverages, a membership platform and additional film titles and screening times. A private screening room and an outdoor cinema will be added in the first quarter of 2022 and the summer, respectively.
Other tenants at Shops at Four Mile Creek include Cold Stone Creamery, Steel City Vapor, HealthTrac Walk-in Clinic and Lost Cajun. The shopping center is located 45 miles southwest of Colorado Springs and 25 miles northwest of Pueblo.
“We are thrilled to have the addition of the Cañon coming to the Center,” said Patrick Schmitz, vice president of Westside Investment Partners. “Eric Gubelman, Brandon Jones, and their team with Cinema Lab come with decades of experience in the theater industry, and we are lucky they have chosen to enter the Cañon City market. We know they have the capability to make the Cañon the premier entertainment stops in the City, and we are excited to see what they will bring to the center.”
