DENVER – The first slate of retail tenants have been announced for The Coloradan, the first for-sale condominium development in the Union Station neighborhood, adding to the areas increasingly robust retail landscape, providing services for both condo residents as well as neighbors and tourists.
The neighborhood will soon welcome A Line Boutique, Kaffe Landskap, Blo Blow Dry Bar, Pure Barre, Slifer Smith & Frampton – Denver, and Revolution Dry Cleaners to the 334-unit condominium property located directly behind Denver’s Union Station.
East West Partners, a Denver-based developer devoted to building, selling, and managing high-quality real estate, partnered with Ascentris, a Denver-based real estate private equity firm for the development of The Coloradan. Retail leasing is being led by Legend Partners and F+B Group.
“When designing the retail, we made sure the tenant mix aligned with our mission and vision for the community: to be a vibrant, fun, conscientious place to live and play that connects residents to their community and the future of Colorado in an authentically Denver way,” said Jenny Jacobs, director of development for The Coloradan. “Welcoming these fantastic tenants to The Coloradan embodies what our community is all about and complements the neighborhood’s existing retailers.”
A Line Boutique, a luxury-concept women’s fashion boutique with existing locations in the Denver Tech Center, Cherry Creek North and Castle Rock, touts the tagline of “serious style with laid-back love,” will occupy approximately 4,000 square feet at The Coloradan.
“The Coloradan was a ‘no brainer,’” said A Line owner Karmen Berentsen. “As Denver continues to attract urban city dwellers from coast to coast, it was a natural choice for our next brick-and-mortar store. Downtown has long been in need of a full-service boutique, and the timing could not have been more perfect. We’re incredibly excited to bring our expert stylists, approachable service and empowered sense of community to the younger, working demographic that makes up the collective buzz of the Union Station neighborhood.”
Also, opening their fourth Denver location at The Coloradan, is Pure Barre. The Coloradan location will be Pure Barre’s first in LoDo and will include a studio and an athleisure boutique.
“We want to be in the epicenter of the buzz and energy at Union Station and LoDo, and there is no better location than The Coloradan,” said Lindsay Teets, owner of Pure Barre. “We are beyond excited to bring our incredible technique and hip athleisure wear to Denver’s hottest new neighborhood.”
The Kaffe Landskap founders selected The Coloradan for their first location outside New York because they believe Denver closely represents the Scandinavian approach to wellbeing, community, and sustainability.
“The Coloradan is ideally situated, intersecting the heart of the local residential, commercial, and sports community,” said Kaffe Landskap founder Tomas Tjarnberg. “We are extremely excited to be part of this amazing project and look forward to opening our doors to Denver.”
Construction of The Coloradan is scheduled to be complete in Q4 2018 with retail tenants to begin opening in January 2019. A restaurant and a bar concept are also planned with details to be announced later this year.
The condos will boast outstanding views of downtown, Coors Field and the mountains, and will feature thoughtfully curated ground floor retail and restaurants. Amenities for all residents include a rooftop pool deck and club room, a fitness room, an owner’s library, a garden terrace, and Denver’s fastest internet in a residential building. In addition, The Coloradan will be LEED Gold and Certified Healthy, a Denver-based certification program that recognizes exceptional projects that integrate stringent wellness standards and encourage healthy lifestyles.
