Colorado-based design-build and development firm The Neenan Company has broken ground on Premier Members Credit Union’s (PMCU) first branch office in Thornton. Founded in Boulder nearly 60 years ago, the not-for-profit financial institution’s expansion into Thornton marks its 16th retail branch location.
The 1,900-square-foot facility will be located at 755 E. 144 Ave. in Thornton, within a vibrant, new commercial development for the area. With anticipated completion in early 2022, the project is the third project between PMCU and The Neenan Company.
“We view this project as an opportunity to enhance our commitment to our membership and expand our service and support to local communities,” said Brian Resch, EVP Consumer Banking at Premier Members Credit Union. “We are looking forward to introducing our full range of financial products and Artisans of Banking approach to the Thornton community.”
The one-story, full-service branch location will feature indoor banking space, drive-thru teller access, and drive-up ATM access. With sustainability a brand pillar for PMCU, the project’s design and practices bring a concerted focus on conservation.
“This project’s design will accommodate a variety of banking opportunities for members. As lifestyles and needs evolve, our teams felt it was important for the “on-the-go” member experience to be as strong as the traditional in-person banking experience,” said Michele Forrest, design manager with The Neenan Company. “Continuing to expand our partnership with PMCU means a great deal as we focus on the impact this project will have toward supporting their growth and future needs.”
