On September 25, Mayor Mike Johnston will join the University of Denver and an influential group of real estate professionals and thought leaders for a panel discussion examining downtown Denver’s office market.
“Almost all major cities throughout the U.S. are faced with increasing vacancy rates in Office Buildings,” says Mark Levine, head of the University of Denver’s School of Real Estate. “The damage to cities, related businesses, investors, lenders, and many others is growing daily. Solutions to this enigma must be found. This EO Event is laser-focused on these concerns.”
Educated Opinions Fellows is researching the critical factors influencing the revitalization of downtown Denver with a focus on the pivotal role of office users in fostering a dynamic, Central Business District. Through interviews with company officials that have recently finalized leases, spanning the past 18 months, the Fellows’ research will consider the decision-making processes in the post-pandemic era, centering on three primary areas: Utilization, Lease Information, and Decision-Making.
A comprehensive white paper summarizing the Fellows’ findings will precede the panel discussion. The Educated Opinions Event, discussing these findings and alternatives, will be hosted in The Republic Plaza.
The discussion will be broadcast as part of an award-winning national webcast. It is expected that there will be about 250 live attendees at the event and about 15,000 additional viewers on the web program.
