British entrepreneur billionaire Richard Branson has selected Denver for its 10th Virgin Hotels location.
“I wanted to take some time to share my excitement that Virgin Hotels will soon host its first property in the beautiful state of Colorado,” Branson said in a video announcement.
Scheduled to open in 2025, the Virgin Hotel will be one of two hotels at the 41-acre Fox Park project, which broke ground earlier this month in the Globeville neighborhood. The owners of Fox Park are Vita Fox North L.P. and the developer is Pure Development headed in Denver by Jose Carredano. Tryba Architects is the architect of record for Fox Park. Upon completion, the development will have 6 million square feet of residential and commercial space and 14 acres of garden and park space.
The hotel will feature 241 guestrooms, the Commons Club restaurant and bar, the Shag Room bar and club, and the Funny Library Coffee Shop. Other amenities include a rooftop lounge with views of the downtown Denver skyline and an 8,000-square-foot spa and fitness center.
Positioned at the intersection of I-25 and I-70 in Denver’s Globeville neighborhood, Fox Park will be a new gateway to the city and region. Its proximity to the 41st and Fox Station and South Platte River Trail will provide mobility options and create seamless connectivity to downtown and beyond.
