White Fence Farm to Become Apartment Complex

LAKEWOOD — White Fence Farm, the beloved family-friendly restaurant that shut its doors in December, will be developed into apartments to be named Novel White Fence Farm.

Crescent Communities, a residential and commercial real estate company, is currently developing plans for the property — a pool and fitness center will be included in the 260-unit, multi-level complex. There are also plans to turn the barn into a community area for the complex.

“Crescent Communities is excited about the opportunity to design and create a new community at NOVEL White Fence Farm in Lakewood,” a spokesperson from Crescent Communities said in a statement to Mile High CRE  “Crescent Communities has a long history of building communities that complement and pay homage to the history and character of the surrounding neighborhoods.  We have begun to engage with members of the local community and look forward to incorporating feedback into our plans for a thoughtfully-designed and vibrant residential community.  Our preliminary plans conform with the Lakewood zoning code and a rezoning is not being proposed. We intend to preserve the historic Americana Barn as our community clubhouse and incorporate modern uses and amenities and other site improvements along the adjacent gulch and trail system.  We anticipate that the resulting community will become a welcome addition to the neighborhood.”

Construction is expected to begin at the end of the year.
