Construction Worker Shortage: Company Culture Improvements

The construction industry in metro Denver is struggling to employ a sufficient number of construction workers, including concrete workers and electricians. As many as 96,000 jobs are needed to be filled by 2025.

As a solution to the problem, the industry is focused on building a culture with employee recognition and mentoring programs, as a way to recruit and retain employees. Increasing employee benefits and decreasing drug testing are two changes companies may implement.
