Developer Carlo Ferreira and his partners are concerned about the proximity of oil and gas well sites to the Aurora Highlands development. The undeveloped land is dotted with older oil and gas wells and is a prime candidate for more drilling.
Aurora Highlands LLC announced plans for the massive Aurora Highlands project in March — a development that will covert 2,900 –acres of vacant land east of Aurora into homes for 60,000 residents, parks, offices, and shopping centers.
“I can’t gamble all this capital and not know where somebody would drill,” said Ferreira.
