According to Solar Power World, the annual Top Solar Contractors List is based on self-reported installation data verified by the publication. Companies are ranked by the amount of photovoltaic capacity they installed during the previous calendar year rather than by revenue or company size. The list has become one of the industry’s most recognized benchmarks for measuring contractor performance.
