Denver, CO – Alliance Construction Solutions (ACS) is well underway in developing the new Saint Francis Apartments at Cathedral Square, a permanent housing community residing in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Denver.
The project, which entered its first phase at the beginning of October 2016, has seen a variety of developments to date. Construction began with some utility installations and a re-structuring of the existing parking lot to replace spaces lost to the new design. Since then, the site has undergone demolition and excavation of the parking lot at the footprint of the new building. Additionally, work to support the building’s two elevators and supporting stairwells, as well as the overall foundation, have been completed.
This 50-unit complex will serve to shelter both the chronically homeless and individuals with an array of challenges, including mental illness, physical or developmental disabilities, addiction, and victims of domestic violence. St. Francis Apartments is being financed by Boston Capital and developed by the St. Francis Center and BlueLine Development, Inc.
ACS is currently preparing to place concrete in the podium deck in early February.
