LandDesign, an award-winning planning and landscape architecture firm, is expanding its Colorado presence, opening a new office in Denver’s RiNo. The move marks nearly a decade of work in the Front Range and reflects the firm’s long-term commitment to serving communities across the state.
“Colorado isn’t a market you step into; it’s a community you grow with,” says Brent Martin, PLA, managing partner of LandDesign’s Denver office. “We’ve been working in the region for years, and this new office makes our expertise more accessible to our clients and partners throughout the Front Range and beyond.”
The Denver leadership team brings decades of diverse experience to support clients at every stage of the planning and design process:
Brent Martin, PLA, ASLA — Managing Partner, Denver
Since joining LandDesign in 1997, Brent has played a pivotal role in expanding the firm’s national presence and launching its western mountain-region practice. As Managing Partner of the Denver office, he brings deep-rooted design leadership and a well-rounded perspective shaped by contributing to nearly every LandDesign office. Brent is known for blending master planning expertise with a thoughtful balance of program, feasibility, and functionality, an approach that has guided transformative projects such as Painted Prairie and Peña Station.
Julie Meenan Eck, PLA, ASLA, EDAC, LEED GA — Director, Denver
Julie brings a deep community-centered lens to every project she leads, and she’s been doing just that in Colorado for over 30 years. Trained as both a planner and a landscape architect, she sees each opportunity as more than design work. It’s a chance to enrich the places where people live, work, and play. She has guided projects across a wide range of sectors; healthcare, parks and open spaces, commercial and residential developments, through every phase, from entitlements and approvals all the way through design and construction.
David Brehm, PLA — Director, Denver
With more than 45 years of experience in land planning, site design, and landscape architecture, David has dedicated his career to creating great places to live and lasting community assets in the built environment. He joined Plan West in 1994, becoming owner and president in 2010, and relocating the corporate office to Denver’s Arts District on Santa Fe in 2014. Known for his collaborative approach, he works closely with neighbors, jurisdictions, and stakeholders to build support, navigate the entitlement process, and secure approvals for development. His thoughtful attention to detail has earned the trust of elected officials and community leaders alike. In addition to his professional work, David serves on the Santa Fe Business Improvement District Board of Directors, helping advance the corridor as one of Denver’s premier art districts.
From its RiNo office, LandDesign’s team of creative planners and landscape architects is positioned to address Colorado’s unique development, environmental, and economic challenges. The firm’s work spans a wide range of markets—including urban infill, suburban development, retail, hospitality, healthcare, parks, and open space—and emphasize creating places that matter to communities.
“Our story has always been shaped by relationships,” Martin added. “We grow by teaming up with clients we believe in and communities we care about. This move reflects our investment in Colorado’s future, from Denver to every corner of the state.”
