Retired NFL outside linebacker Josh Martin and his sister, Gabby Martin, will open their second Smoothie King location in Colorado on Monday, October 27, this time in their hometown of Greenwood Village within the Denver Tech Center. The franchise, located at 8000 E Belleview Ave, Suite B30, will bring the brand’s signature blend of health, wellness, and now food into the community.
“When Gabby and I opened our first Smoothie King in Northfield, we weren’t sure what to expect, but the response has been overwhelming. It showed us how much people need healthier, more convenient choices in their daily lives,” Josh Martin, franchise owner, said in a news release. “To bring that same concept to Greenwood Village, the place that gave me my start, feels like coming full circle. I’m excited to build something that both honors my roots and serves this community.”
Josh began his journey at Cottonwood Creek Elementary in Greenwood Village and went on to attend school at Campus Middle School and Cherokee Trail High School where he participated on the varsity football team before showcasing his talents at Columbia University. As an undrafted rookie, Josh went on to successfully play seven years professionally in the NFL. After retiring, Josh teamed up with his sister Gabby, who brings franchise management experience from Starbucks and McDonald’s to open Smoothie King Northfield in 2023. Together, they’ve created a thriving business rooted in wellness and community.
The opening coincides with Smoothie King’s nationwide launch of its first-ever “Power Eats” menu, giving guests more ways to fuel their wellness journeys.
To celebrate the grand opening of Greenwood Village, the Martins are hosting a week of special events and promotions during the last week of October, leading up to Halloween, from October 27 to 31.
In addition to these offers, Smoothie King Greenwood Village is hosting a QB accuracy competition with a grand prize of free smoothies for a year! To enter, guests must purchase any menu item and attempt three throws at three different targets with a football. Those who hit all three targets will be entered into a prize drawing. On November 1, three winners will be selected to receive a free smoothie every month for a year.
