Avison Young Adds Two investment Sales Brokerage Experts to Denver Office

Mason Bodie
Leslie Brown

Global Commercial Real Estate Advisor, Avison Young, has added two investment sales brokers to its Denver office. Leslie Brown, CCIM, has been named senior vice president of investment sales, and Mason Bodie joins as senior associate of investment sales.

“Leslie and Mason each bring highly complementary skill sets that directly strengthen our investment sales platform in the Denver region,” said Katie Kruger, market leader and principal of Avison Young’s Denver office. “Leslie’s deep experience in land advisory and her proven ability to unlock value for developers adds a critical layer to our middle-market capabilities, while Mason’s institutional investment background and capital markets expertise enhance our ability to structure and execute increasingly sophisticated transactions. Together, they expand both the depth and breadth of our offering, positioning us to better serve clients across the full lifecycle of investment sales in the Denver market.”

Brown has more than 12 years of experience advising clients across investment sales and residential development. Her work has centered on helping developers unlock value through land entitlement, assembly, and land packaging, the process of positioning vacant land for development and bringing it to market for institutional and private buyers.

Brown comes to Avison Young from Colorado Craft Brokers, where she served as founder and broker-owner. There, she led a team of independent professionals to bridge real estate opportunities between Colorado’s mountain resort markets and the Front Range of Denver. Brown has advised clients in Main Street and middle-market transactions. She closed more than $250 million in commercial real estate transactions, managing each deal from valuation to closing.

“Building my company over the past 12 years was deeply meaningful, making this a highly intentional move. I joined Avison Young because of its trajectory and the leadership Katie Kruger has built as market leader for the Denver region. I’m focused on helping position the firm as the premier middle-market commercial real estate advisory by aligning deep Colorado market expertise with the capabilities of a global platform,” said Brown.

Bodie is an experienced commercial real estate professional with a proven track record managing institutional equity investments, structured capital positions, and large-scale real estate portfolios exceeding $1 billion in value. With deep expertise across common equity, joint-venture equity, preferred equity, and unitranche debt, Bodie brings a uniquely comprehensive understanding of both investment strategy and hands-on asset performance.

Most previously, he served as director of asset management at Walker & Dunlop Investment Partners, where he led asset management for multiple institutional vehicles and served as the primary point of accountability for post-closing performance. Mason oversaw business plan execution including value-add construction and lease up, on-going sponsor compliance, portfolio risk monitoring, restructuring strategies, and investment realization. Prior to that, he managed a $1.5 billion healthcare real estate portfolio at Welltower, acting as the primary relationship lead for joint-venture equity partnerships with Invesco Real Estate.
