Lowe’s Breaks Ground on New Store in Frederick

Lowe’s broke ground on its new store in the Silverstone Marketplace in Frederick on August 13, marking the next major phase of development at the growing regional retail center. Lowe’s of Frederick will include approximately 95,000 square feet of retail space plus 30,000 square feet of outdoor garden area and is anticipated to open in summer 2027.

“The groundbreaking of Lowe’s at Silverstone Marketplace marks another exciting milestone as we continue to build a strong and sustainable economic future for Frederick,” said Frederick Mayor Tracie Crites. “Lowe’s brings new jobs, more local shopping options closer to home, and a long-term investment in our community. We are proud to welcome Lowe’s to Frederick and look forward to the partnerships and opportunities this store will bring for years to come.”

The Lowe’s project advances the Community and Economic Vitality goals of the Strategic Plan adopted by the Town of Frederick’s Board of Trustees, expanding local shopping options, creating jobs and strengthening Frederick’s long-term economic base.

The developer is Evergreen Devco, Inc., and the general contractor is Brinkmann Constructors.

Once complete, the Frederick store will be Lowe’s 30th location in Colorado. The store is also expected to create approximately 150 jobs in the local community once hiring gets underway.

Lowe’s has expressed a commitment to being a long-term community partner through associate volunteer efforts, community improvement projects, and programs supporting nonprofit organizations.Lowe’s leadership joined Mayor Tracie Crites and Town of Frederick officials, development partners, and community representatives to break ground and officially celebrate the start of construction.

“We’re extremely excited to help support this town’s growth and invest and grow alongside what’s already a thriving community,” said Lowe’s District Manager Daniel Vasquez. “We may be a big box retailer, but we want our customers to feel like this is their hometown store. We want to build a strong relationship with the Frederick community that lasts generations.”

Multiple recreational and residential facilities make the Town of Frederick a retreat full of diverse opportunity that continues to respect its heritage as a mining town incorporated in 1907.
