(From L to R) Vice-Chairman, Byron Haselden from Haselden Construction; CEO and President of AGC of Colorado, Michael Gifford; Chairman of the Board, Kurt Klanderud from GH Phipps Construction Companies; and AGC of America’s President, Dirk Elsperman from Tarlton Corporation, recognize AGC of Colorado with the national James E. Cashman Award in Washington D.C.

AGC of Colorado was honored with the national James E. Cashman Award for Best Membership Program, for the fifth time in several years, at the Associated General Contractors of America National and Chapter Leadership Conference in Washington D.C.

AGC of Colorado’s CEO and President, Michael Gifford, along with Chairman of the Board, Kurt Klanderud from GH Phipps Construction Companies and Vice-Chairman, Byron Haselden from Haselden Construction, accepted the inscribed trophy during the Chapter Awards Dinner that was held at Union Station.

“American journalist, Mark Shields said it best that ‘There is always strength in numbers. The more individuals or organizations that you can rally to your cause, the better,’” commented Michael Gifford. “AGC of Colorado strives to be that trusted resource for all of our member firms, who have donated their time and efforts to help build Colorado.”

The national James E. Cashman Award dates back to 1934 and is awarded to the AGC Chapter with the most effective membership growth program for the calendar year. This prestigious award has been presented to deserving chapters for more than half a century. AGC of Colorado is proud to have been awarded this honor growing from 300 member firms to 647 member firms in the past 10 years.
